The Visible Project is a two part national initiative which aims to increase the mental health literacy, help-seeking behaviours and overall improve the mental health and wellbeing of young Australians. The first part is to encourage conversations about mental health and supports by using lived mental health experiences of young advocates to shine a light on diverse aspects and presentations of mental ill health. As an Australian Youth Advocate for Mental Health (AYAMH), I work alongside stakeholders in the mental health sector, clinical staff, and other AYAMHs with diverse lived experience of mental health challenges. My main role is to help in co-designing and delivering a mental health-focused community program to young Australians in communities that are identified as marginalized. I also regularly participate in working groups and consultations to provide a young person's perspective to other initiatives aiming to improve existing services/programs for young people.

As a front of house staff, my main responsibility was to ensure that my customers receive the best experience in both their meals and the service provided. In my role as a co facilitator of the Music and Mood group at headspace Sunshine, one of my main responsibilities was to stimulate discussions among participants by keeping an open and encouraging atmosphere. A summary of my other duties are as followed:• Collaborate with lead facilitator to determine weekly discussion topics• Evaluate participant and group’s progress at the conclusion of each session• Maintain the smooth operation of the group via Zoom and encourage an open and convivial atmosphere• Co-chair discussions in a group of seven using active listening skills. • Present personal experiences to encourage experience sharing among young people.
