I'm ambitious and open-minded energy professional specialized in hydraulic model based analysis for district energy systems. Due to past employments, I'm also capable of performing such analysis for water distribution and sewage networks, but presently I'm fully focusing on district heating and cooling systems.My major tasks at Fortum include e.g. being in charge of long-term general design as well as improving the competitiveness and attractiveness of district heating and cooling by optimizing its daily operation routines from distribution network point of view. In addition, I’m studying measures, how to efficiently utilize small, decentralized, non-combustible and low temperature level heat sources in the district heating system of Espoo that is originally designed for large and centralized fossil fuel based CHP plant and high temperature levels. In other words, I'm ensuring that the implementation of Fortum's Espoo Clean Heat program won't be postponed or cancelled due to limitations of the district heating network.Prior to Fortum, I've worked in a number of engineering and consulting companies focusing mainly on district heating and cooling related assignments. In addition, I've also participated in several IFI funded projects aiming to improve energy efficiency of old-fashioned district heating systems in post-Soviet states. Thus, I've gained solid knowledge across the whole district energy industry from both domestic (Finland) and international (Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan) perspective.
