My interest towards information technology started already in late 1980's right after PCs ended up into stores for buying. The networks and wireless networks got into the play in the professional sense during my M.Sc. studies in 2001-2003. That time I was witnessing the expansion of internet from PCs into cellular phones, while studying what is 'under the hood' of a real 3G network at the university. After finishing my research for the Dr. Tech. degree in 2012 on the radio network planning topic, I have moved forward along the same path, now participating in 4G and beyond system specification work, in which I can use my research experience and system knowledge on the mobile communication networks. I have done a lot of work developing/using system level network simulators and studying features for existing and upcoming radio network technologies - mainly from the physical layer aspect (key phrases: power, link loss, radio channel, network scenario, system performance). In addition, I consider the experience from network field measurements and teaching important for my career.
