About Paola Ferrara
Strategic communication, brand awareness and reputation policies are my assets. I'm working on CSR policies and Sustainability: shifting to a CSR/shared value approach for businesses and organisations hoping to contribute to build good practices and trust from my new position.I have had long experiences in what we call “Third Sector” - under which CSOs and NGOs are gathered - and also an extremely significant experience abroad. I started my career in a big environmental association, Legambiente, then worked in Bruxelles at the European Commission, DG XI, Ecolabel Unit. I spent a few months in Brasil where I was a builder of relationships and activities with local Ngos, aiming at preserving a big suburban green area near Salvador de Bahia from exploitation and abandonment. I've been Media Relations Director at Médecins Sans Frontières Italy for 7 years.I spent one year working in RAI - Italian public television - and from 2007 to 2011 I worked as Communication Director in Banca Popolare Etica. Ethical finance, sustainable development and social responsibility have since then become my main interests. I worked as Communication Director at AMREF - African Medical and Research Foundation from February 2011 till January 2014. After a second MoS in CSR, I joined Confcooperative for a challenging job promoting Sustainability among cooperatives. I'm also director of the Ngo Coopermondo where I manage a very skilled staff which works on call for tenders and on projects all over the world.Skills: Sustainability policies and strategies, communication, network building, editing and writing.
