My duties are split between research and marketing. Research includes exploring the latest threats in consumer and business, blogging, speaking to press, and conference presentations. Marketing work includes input and contribution to a wide range of internal projects, campaigns, research papers and studies, document correction and editing, SEO / traffic generation.
This role is the same as my time at GFI Software, who separated ThreatTrack out into a separate security division. My work here includes a focus on sandbox tools and APT research.
Responsible for finding the latest security threats and communicating said threats through blogs, social media, conferences, webinars and driving the direction of public facing research. Regular interview duties across all press mediums: print, radio, TV. Typically the first point of contact for journalists interested in research.
Full time discovery and analysis of the latest mal/spy/adware threats.
I work with two teams of researchers across the globe to catch, analyse and talk about the latest spy/ad/malware threats. I'm responsible for driving the direction of public facing research, publishing research content on two different sites, discovering new forms of threats, conference speaking, maintaining good relations with press / public, monitoring underground sites / forums / rogue marketers for the latest scams.
