Coordinated and managed Diversity Initiative projects for GM Design Center while working with corporate diversity initiatives staff to promote the message of diversity and inclusion throughout GM. Successfully managed "You Make a Difference Program" (YMAD), increasing awareness 800 high school students for careers in the automotive creative design field. YMAD resulted in 15 students recently being accepted to premiere collegiate design institutions.Developed and Managed Human Machine Interface (HMI) Project, resulting in indentifying diverse design talent at 12 PACE (Partners for the Advancement of Collaborative Engineering) Universities around the world. Updated course content for sheet metal basics course with knowledge from hands on experience, creating a more effective training program for GM Engineers.

Managed the integration of die design and construction to home press line and program launch. Interfaced with suppliers and customers at every stage of the 1-2 year process to ensure cadence to program timeline. Position required travel to various GM facilities across the country as well as travel to outside suppliers.Led cross team communication efforts resulting in 100% PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) prior to start of regular production.Achieved on time vehicle launch and PPAP ahead of schedule by coordinating work with design, product, procurement, tool & die, body shop, stamping, and quality to implement part changes. Averaged 90% delivery rate of on-time, quality parts by building effective working relationships as the liaison between GM stamping plants and Suppliers.Resolved 40 die tooling issues for Saturn Aura program by documenting issues identified at the stamping facility, communicating them back to die manufacture and design. Solutions were created, implemented within 45 days, and then used to prevent the same issues on future die tooling.

Managed up to 60 union employees in various areas of synchronous die construction, at GM Grand Rapids Tool & Die facility. Responsible for prioritizing work, timekeeping, overtime, grievances and vacations. Supervisory training included two year rotation through pattern shop, machines, CAM room, blocking, finishing, and die verification on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.Maintained 100% on time shipping while supervising employees responsible for panel submittals to verify part quality. Part submittals were required five different times during the verification process.Achieved zero overtime grievance issues among the plant welders, down from 3 grievances per month, by meeting with the group and discussing their reasons for so many grievances and getting their input on how to manage the overtime equalization successfully from week to week.Increased suggestion program participation to 80%, up from less than 50% over the previous 5 years by engaging employees in open dialogue about their views on the negative and positive points of the program.

Called an average of 3 days a week to substitute in various k-6 classrooms at the same elementary school. Substitute for a 3rd grade special needs class for one full month.
