Established researcher in the field of NeuroEngineering rehabilitation, developing techniques and devices to enable locomotor and autonomic function after paralysis:Managed, designed and implemented studies dealing with complex physiological systems in both human subjects and animal models. Published over 25 scientific papers using implantable and non-invasive neuromodulation techniques to enable locomotor and bladder function after paralysis Developing the next generation implantable spinal cord stimulators and electrode arrays. Developing novel techniques to enable bladder control in paralyzed subjects Led research and development of patented devices for next generation implantable spinal cord stimulators and electrode arrays. These devices are currently being tested in the animal model and are expected to be FDA approved in the next 5-10 years. Contributed to the development of prototype non-invasive spinal cord stimulators and electrode arrays. These devices are currently being tested in human subjects and are expected to be FDA approved in the next couple of years. Developing techniques to combine non-invasive spinal cord stimulators in combination with exoskeleton technology to further enable locomotor function in paralyzed subjects.
