    By now every organization collects tons of data. collecting data is the current fashion. but how many actually distill relevant information and intelligence from it. if you use me too models which are used by everybody , nothing is going to change. dont follow the trend. buckle it. every organisation and need is different. test out different models to challenge the status quo. it is not data but distilled information which is the king.GA 360 or adobe analytics suite provide observational data. dont just buy into the big AI story. fine tune it. test, experimentation is the key.coming from a risk/ trading background where it is a religion to collect data and use simple models (VaR, returns,etc), organisations which understood and managed distilled information made tons of money while the rest perished. remember the market meltdown of 2008 and the single winner take all who mined and gleaned intelligence from mortgage data. A true zero sum game.the same is now true with digital world . Retail sector is a good example.with amazon acting as winner take all.in your industry you too can be the winner take all.
