Parag Sharma is a Lead Director in Medical Affairs for CVS Caremark. He is responsible for data analytics and clinical knowledge services. Clinical program data analytics includes tracking operational metrics and conducting drug trend analysis to optimize Utilization Management and Formulary strategies. Clinical knowledge services is accountable for budget and vendor management of clinical resources. As an Adjunct Teaching Instructor at Purdue University (MHA, MPH), he empowers the next generation of healthcare leaders by teaching graduate courses and mentoring students. Prior to joining CVS Health, he was a Clinical Data Scientist at Humana. During his time at Humana, he led projects to analyze claims/social determinants of health data in order to develop new population health and well-being offerings for the Humana health plan. He collaborated with the national medical director to create a preventative services initiative to improve screening adherence and detect early health conditions. Parag received both degrees of Doctor of Public Health and Master of Public Health from Texas A&M University. He is graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor’s of Science.
