Storage Consulting for the Asia/Pacific and Japan region in the HPE Technology Pointnext Consulting Business Unit • Product demonstrations, supporting targeted sales opportunities, solution understanding and assessments for IT Storage, Software Defined Storage, Backup & Data Center Services for APJ Region client base• Provide technical guidance to the Technical domain teams in support of the Infrastructure Architecture activities• Planning, managing and participating in due diligence, design and deployment of storage related processes and technologies including Storage, Backup/DR and Data Management for various assessments/workshops across APJ countries• Maintain infrastructure and reference architecture technology standards repository• Propose and design storage/backup enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the storage architecture• Helping sales executives by making technical presentations, answering technical questions and managing customer trials through e-mail, phone and on-site visits• Involved in writing proposals and technical responses to RFIs and RFPs• Develop and write procedures for installation, use, and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software• Work with on-site engineers, system analysts, technicians and top-level managers in design, testing and evaluation of Storage and Backup systems• Analysis of existing processes and identification of gaps• Creating proof of concept and prototyping solutions• Preparing report of product issues and deficiencies

Working in Singapore for HP APJ Regional Team for Storage Consulting and Presales

• Providing presales Storage & Backup product support to executives and customers.• Helping sales executives by making technical presentations, answering technical questions and managing customer trials through e-mail, phone and on-site visits.• Product demonstrations, Supporting targeted sales opportunities, Solution understanding and assessment.• Involved in RFI/RFP stages for storage products like EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, AMI and backup products of Symantec, Atempo.• Developed and write procedures for installation, use, and troubleshooting of communications hardware and software.• Working with on-site engineers, system analysts, technicians and top-level managers in design, testing and evaluation of systems.• Offering post and presales technical support for existing and new customers.• Creating proof of concept and prototyping solutions.• Preparing report of product issues and deficiencies.

# Support 24x7 Mission Critical Production environments which include high end enterprise storage.# Administer, manage and provide technical support for Hitachi Storage, EMC Clariion, Celerra Manager.# Analyze and resolve escalated issues.# Ensure integrity of supported environment.# Actively and preemptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks.# Identify and manage issues identified by sys admins.# Work with Incident management/Change management and Problem management tools.# Create and Manage capacity of CIFS, NFS and ISCSI volumes and LUNs.# Hardware/Software fault detection and vendor liaison to fix them.# Schedule and ensure successful snapshots for the production data, application database luns and restore them in the event failure using HORCM (shadowimage)# Allocate shares/storage to new servers as needed. Maintain reports on disk utilization, availability and growth patterns.# Off-Shore support for DR setup using EMC Recovery Point which involves support like identifying critical hosts & creating consistency groups in EMC Recovery Point, setting replication, pause-stop-start replication, logs collection for EMC troubleshooting in case of any failures.# Provide recommendations to improve the storage infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis.
