I am Paramjeet Kaur, student at Niagara College in Hotel and Restaurant Operations. I was always eager to work in hospitality sector so I decided to build my career and for that I completed my study in India in Hospitality and Catering Technology.While being in this degree program I learned all the basics about Hotels' Department. I pursued my career with Holiday Inn Amritsar as Guest Service Associate and worked there for one year.This was my first step in the world of my dream as it was my first job. As a Guest Service Associate I learned about the environment of hospitality. How to welcome the guest, check in, check out, billing, solving guest problems, C-forms, customer service, guest satisfaction etc were the things I learned for the first time over here. Then I got opportunity to work in Guru Kashi University as an Assistant Professor and I taught to hospitality students. As I was heading towards my career I took next step in Hospitality as an Assistant Professor. It was a tough job as in this you have to teach about hospitality to new comers. I taught students Introduction to Hospitality and accommodation management. During this job I felt that I should learn more about Hospitality and decided to study abroad and came in Niagara College.I took Diploma of Hotel and Restaurant Operations Diploma and learned all about hospitality as I am learning about each of the department like Front Office, Kitchen, Food and Beverage Service, and Reservations.I am very passionate about hospitality and always had dreamed to work in hospitality sector. In future also I see my self in Hospitality and aim to have my own hotel or restaurant.
