I have pioneered in many areas of computer industry. I started EDP in Indian Tube [1973] including product-mix and project control along with inventory management, payroll and cost accounting, I nurtured India’s computer awareness via Operational Research Society, Computer Society of India, I appraised the data flow, storage and processing requirements of HOC and submitted recommendation for hardware and software configurations to Department of Electronics in India, because India enforced strict control on import of electronic goods in those days, I was invited to join HCL’s pioneering initiative of manufacturing IBM mainframes in India; I wrote Programmed Instruction Manual for teaching COBOL.Though I was already a mechanical engineering graduate with postgraduate diploma in business management, I did MBA and Master of Computing from UTS. In Master’s thesis, I introduced CORBA like architecture long before CORBA days; published papers on integrating new technologies with legacy applications. I lectured in UTS, helped SBNSW-UTS collaboration. I won FINSIA Fellowship, achieved optimum application integration by semantically linking 20% participating objects to earn PhD. As FIDELITY’s Sydney-based Consultant of Architecture/Management [2001-2007], I served banks worldwide, pioneered XML interfaces between mainframe-based Cobol programs and multichannel platform for a Warsaw bank, including Internet, call centre, ATMs, Personal Digital Assistant etc. I served Commonwealth Bank of Australia as a Business Intelligence Expert and Australian Tax Office as Teradata Technical Specialist.I have worked as a judge for NASSCOM & Consensus Innovation Awards. My book ‘No Boundaries’ shows vision for next centuries. I have helped my clients in recognising their strengths and weaknesses, setting their vision and mission on what they want to become and what services they want to provide, and planning and designing projects to achieve their potential.

But you feel, you have a duty to share your vision of the World with No Boundaries with all citizens of the world. You know, a book is never as complete as the life itself and you are not an author who fathoms the depths of emotions, zooms on the moments of the memoirs and weaves those priceless gems into a seamless tapestry of narration. You look at the way things happen mainly because we religiously follow traditions, even though presumptions behind those traditions are no longer valid. You develop a vision for making minimum changes to traditional boundaries to make this world a better place for every citizen, to live in and work for. You have travelled around the world, mainly to earn your livelihood; but in that process, you have listened to people of different countries, collaborated with them in projects. You discovered the same oneness in people across countries and developed a vision of the future world.A graduate Engineer specialised in cold rolling of steel tubes, you accepted the challenge of starting EDP in one organisation. You strived to develop computer-awareness in the society across industries. You migrated to a developed country and continued your endeavour by coupling your business vision with academic brilliance. You became an MBA, Master of Computing and PhD of computing only by part-time studies. You introduced architecture for integrating bank applications – perhaps with a mission of integrating the world later. You taught in the university, helped research collaboration between your employer and the university. You served banks worldwide, integrated mainframe-based applications with multiple channels of WWW, mobile phone, call-centre etc. “Let’s belong to our World and Let World belong to us - to work for and to live in. Let boundaries disappear between countries and families.” Show less

Communication and correspondenceIt is important to note that although I ensured that these responsibilities are met, much of the work were sometimes delegated to the paid staff.Given these responsibilities,I actedas an information and reference point for the Chair and other committee members: clarifying past practice and decisions; confirming legal requirements; and retrieving relevant documentation. AICD training course was organised for all directors of the Branch Executive Committe, where I qualified as a MAICD. I developed a plan for implementing projects that will lead ACS to become what it wants to become as per its vision and mission statements: Vision & Mission >> Strategic Plans >> Operating Plans >> Business Plans a) Define Vision & Mission of ACS NSWb) Define Strategic Intent to take ACS NSW towards achieving its vision.c) Make Strategic Plans and hand over to CEO/State Managerd) State Manager makes business plans and submits for BEC's approval of budget on project plan showing the calendar of utilizing resources and getting results.e) Each director of BEC is assigned to one or more portfolios, which may include a few projectsf) BEC portfolio owners review and approves business plan and empowers State Manager to implement.g) State Manager submits periodical reports to BEC portfolio owners for adjusting plans and implementation till the plan is implemented or discarded. As the secretary, I started designing BEC Meeting agendas and elicited concise papers to facilitate implementation of projects to fulfil ACS vision. This was solved primarily, by finding via Microsoft Visual Studio, the codes so far written on the involved data and functionalities in DWH. Still 10% of the required data could not be located in the DWH. Service design specifications of the related data, & Physical Data Mapping revealed that the relevant ICP tables are not in DWH. After discussion with the relevant designers of the ICP tables, I could develop the algorithm to derive the required data from the data available in the data warehouse tables and the last 10% of the build process was completed.I solved a big challenge of formatting a description on the Demand Management Data table, showing multiple periods taken from multiple rows, by getting row_number and Max (row_number) of the involved rows.Developed a case-based logic to screen all exceptions in one go, marking the candidates with all exception reasons as well as the selection reasons to get a consolidated table of all selected and rejected candidates, so that this table could be read and rows inserted on the DMD table for the candidates, for whom the work management activity would created based on the activity descriptions, provided for each selected candidateCarried out elaborate work on Testing Scenario/SQLs for the QA of the Commute Process Treatment Plan,. This will facilitate testing both before implementation and down the track as BAU teams need to carry out any modification. Show less
