An alumnus of Presidency College Kolkata and completed her MS in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute. She completed her PhD from Jadavpur University. Has more than 25 years of experience in industry (market research), research and academics. Has been teaching for more than 17 years. She has a number of publications in reputed peer reviewed journals. Areas of interest includes empirical finance, applied econometrics in financial sector and financial economics. Has consulting experience in business forecasting in the areas of energy sector, gold sector etc. Has handled responsibilities in academic administration as Area Chair and Dean (Academics).
