RT PCR, Southern BLot, Expression analysis of transngene through RT PCR, Expression studies f transngene derived proteinsImmunological detection of expression of transgenic plant-proteins though western blot and Immuno-precipitation.● Development of binary vector constructs for different physiological and stress responsive traits of legumes, preparation of multigene constructs through Gateway cloning strategy.● Reference gene Identification of house-keeping genes to be used as reference for copy number detection and expression analysis in Real Time PCR through Southern blot and Real Time PCR.● Transgene characterization rd29-DREB and Bt in grain legumes (groundnut, pigeon pea, chickpea)● Copy number estimation through Southern blot and Real Time PCR, expression, analysis of vector back-bone contamination.

My major research areas here include: SSH libraray, cDNA library, Plant pathogen interaction, plant and abiotic stress (drought) interaction, transcriptomics, functional genomicsFunctional genomics on abiotic stress tolerance in brassica• Phenotypic characterization of 40 Brassica genotypes under water-deficit stress.• Development of SSH library in 4 different Brassica cultivars (root, flower, leaf tissue) showing tolerance and susceptibility with respect to drought stress.• Transcriptomics analysis and validation of ESTs of tolerant genotype through Real time PCR• Development of SSH library in Mothbean with respect to drought stress in different cultivar• Transcriptome study regarding drought resistance through Microarray analysis• Validation of drought responsive candidate genes through qRT PCR.

I have persued my doctoral work here which is broadly on functional genomics of plant pathogen interaction mainly on fungal host interaction ( jute macrophomina pathosystem)• Development of Differentially regulated Expressed Sequence Tag(EST) Database in Jute with respect to response against Macrophomina phaseolina Using Functional Genomics Approach• Molecular characterization of Begomoviruses infecting economically important crops in India
