Paras Jain is an advocate practising in Delhi. He possesses ability and passion of resolving complex and high stake legal disputes. At this young age, he has litigated successfully number of public causes relating to students’ and consumers’ rights in the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court & Consumer Forums (District, State & National). His landmark legal battle against ICAI, ICSI, ICWAI, CBSE, DU for making Answer-Scripts as information available under RTI is well known in India. He has gained in-depth knowledge and diverse experiences by working with International Arbitrator & Negotiator, Law Firms, Sole Practitioners (Civil & Criminal), Companies, Non-Governmental Organizations & Government Departments. His alma mater honoured him with “Excellence in Public Interest Lawyering” Award for his significant contribution to the Legal Aid Society and student litigation during the academic session 2014-17. He is presently the Founder of Whistle for Public Interest-WHIP, a group of law students and young advocates, which puts the advocacy skills in resolving grave issues of public importance and, in promoting transparency and accountability in the system.
