About Irina Paraschivoiu

I am a entrepreneur, experimenter and educator excited about the human-centred design of places and technologies. I love coming up with new ideas and forging strong partnerships with users, communities and other sectors. Since 2018, I co-initiated and lead Escape Fake, a multiple-awarded augmented reality experience for teaching media literacy. Between 2020 and 2023, I coordinated the HCI team working on collaborative urban planning with XR as a part of the flagship project 5G EXPS in the Salzburg region. With Polycular, we have received many awards and nominations, including the Green Start Award, the World Summit Awards (Austrian nomination) with Escape Fake, the Josef Umdash Research Prize, as well as the Austrian Federal Prize in the field of Advertising and Market Communication.
