About Sumit Parashar
To be inspired is great, to inspire is incredible. My desire to achieve excellence and follow my dreams down an ambitious path has shaped my past involvements. A research intern at the University of Alberta, Canada gave me profound understanding of international finance. Edmonton, a melting pot of culture, exposed me to a multitude of people from different nations and ethnicities. During my internship at IIT Jodhpur, I understood how important it is to identify the right information sources and check the feasibility of consequent data analysis. The brainstorming sessions with my friends during writing term papers and classroom activities, given my instrumental contribution in terms of streamlining our thought process and gluing the group together, has acquainted me well with working in teams. My role as a student guide has well suited me for mentorship roles. Being the coordinator for the Counselling Centre, interactions with the student body, have made me resourceful while amplifying my networking skills. Tough times never last, tough people do. Active involvement in the NCC activity has prepared me to take on the worst and deliver the best. Apart from being a reporter at the campus Hindi newsletter, I was also keenly associated in publicity and sponsorship responsibilities for the periodicals. Juggling my majors in economics, which has given me a keen insight into comprehending concerns and devising solutions, with a minor degree in Mathematics and computing has lent me with a technical edge and while augmenting my time management skills.In near future, I look forward to building a singular balance of deep and broad expertise, with an organisation, brimful with opportunities to make a difference, all the while presenting prospects to satiate my appetite for complex challenges of the industry. I believe in the business of forming “life-long partnerships” with clients, with my personal ethos of highest accountability and personal commitment.
