Prior to Bobit I was responsible for over $1B in local market sales across Gannett's 109 media organizations in 34 states and ReachLocal's North American sales organization. Each month more than 110 million unique visitors accessed content from USA TODAY and Gannett’s local media organizations, putting the company squarely in the Top 10 U.S. news and information category.Prior to my expanded role at Gannett I was Chief Strategy Officer at ReachLocal and directly responsible for Corporate Dev, Business Dev, Marketing and North American sales. ReachLocal was acquired by Gannett in August of 2016.Prior to ReachLocal I was a Principal and Head of North America at WPSChallenger, an operator-led venture capital firm focused on digital media, online & social gaming, and data science sectors. Served as a member of the Executive Committee and was responsible for North American portfolio management and investment decisions. Prior to WPSChallenger was a founding executive of EQAL, a media start-up acquired by Everyday Health. Served the company in varying capacities and leadership roles including heading operations, human resources, corporate development, strategy and sales.Past experience includes working in the Los Angeles office of McKinsey & Company, a summer with the Corporate Department of Latham & Watkins, as a financial analyst with the High Tech Mergers & Acquisitions Group at JP Morgan Chase & Company and as a project manager to email marketing start-up MarketHome. Completed my B.A. in both Economics and Political Economies of Industrial Societies from the University of California, Berkeley. Studied abroad at the Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary and the University of Vienna School of Business in Austria. Received a J.D. from Northwestern School of Law and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management.Happily married with two lovely children, my wife Payal keeps my global entertainment knowledge fresh with regular screenings of Bollywood's best films.
