Contributions:i) Investigated current potentials of ARM-based ODROID XU4 board and its virtualization capability.~ Pardeep Kumar and Emmanuel Arzuaga, Integrating ARM Devices in Cloud Infrastructure,(received the Best Graduate Research Poster Award at HENAAC Conference, California 2016).ii) Provided performance evaluation of the ARM-based system prototype by running specialized commercial workloads based on the TPC-C and TPC-H benchmark, to study and understand the behavior of the system for OLTP and OLAP transactions under different scenarios.iii) Presented a novel heterogeneous cloud computing infrastructure paradigm using embeddedARM hardware and x86 hosts. - i) Successfully Migrated virtual machines between heterogeneous hosts (ARM-based hosts and x86 hosts) and facilitated VMs to work seamlessly around the systems. - ii) Provided a prototype of such system.iv) Setup of a heterogeneous cloud environment using embedded ARM hardware and x86 hosts.v) Evaluated ARM based embedded cluster configurations that handled other Cloud Computer Paradigms, such as Apache Spark with Apache Hadoop.vi) Actively participated and contributed towards continued enhancement of Conflict Resolution Algorithm with multiple complex scenarios as part of the research undertaken with Prof Amir Chinae.
