    STOPtv was born as an Inspira project to create alternative and smart content online in a new way, not using the traditional video platforms.Was a multi platform ecosystem which allowed young people to empower each other through digital video with the goal of learning and strengthening their self-esteem.From the business side, it meant the first effort to use interactive live video streaming for mix content and brands, 4 years before Facebook tried it.STOPtv connected on live more than 2 million Peruvian young people, developed dozens of advertising campaigns and received awards for its innovation. It became the highest engagement digital product among audiences aged 15 to 24 in Peru, according to Comscore.After 1 year of R&D and more than 3 years of execution, Santiago and his team decided to shutdown the platform and go to the next step. This has been the space of greatest learning for Santiago as an entrepreneur and as a person. He learned the hard way: having a purpose that transcends, listening to users more than to himself, reinventing faster than blinking and creating a culture that is solid and flexible at the same time.

    USMP allowed Santiago to build a project from scratch in the corporate space. First as Audiovisual Content Director and then as Marketing and Advertising Manager.He was in charge of the daily management of the USMP brand and everything involved in the areas of marketing, media and advertising. However, the great achievement of Santiago’s team was to focus on understanding young people better with the goal of creating innovative tools that connect them with the university.Projects like "De Paseo" was launched, the first TV show in Peru with interaction online (depaseo.usmp.edu.pe). It was broadcast on “Canal N” and available online during 2004, when Facebook and Youtube did not yet exist.Subsequently carrerasconfuturo.com and "No sé qué Estudiar" (on facebook) took the USMP to the digital leadership of its category obtaining several awards for innovation. But above all, they helped thousands of Peruvian young people to discover their vocation.Santiago learned here how important it is to believe strongly in your ideas and to focus on doing the things happen. He learned to be immune to frustration and to be persistent and stubborn on his purpose.

    Santiago was part of the team that started the first digital TV channel in Peru, Canal N, a cable channel specialized in news.His work is summarized in two moments:- He was in charge of live coverage in Peru and abroad. This allowed him to travel to 10 countries with the best transmission technology available in that moment (Fly Away) and report live for the channel. The majority of foreign coverages were presidential events and summits. His live coverage within Peru included natural disasters, social campaigns, protests, among others.- He was in charge of journalistic investigations. He contributed to investigations such as the "Falsification of Peru 2,000 signatures" (the beginning of the fall of Alberto Fujimori regime) and the capture of Feliciano, the leader of Sendero Luminoso, the most bloodthirsty terrorist group in Peru. These and other investigations earned him the Prize Padre Urias in Sabueso (Hound) category.
