During my time with T-Mobile, I developed excellent troubleshooting skills from daily exposure to technical issues with customer devices as well as store Point-of-Sale computers. I learned to adapt quickly to a fast pace and unpredictable work environment with positive results. I successfully provided excellent customer service and exceeded monthly sales goals.

As Lead Sales Associate at Champs Sports, I was responsible for effectively planning, communicating, and achieving sales objectives with the help of the sales team. Store operations like processing incoming and outgoing inventory, updating store visuals, and communicating sales gains and losses were also part of my daily responsibilities. This position required me to lead by example by performing my job at the expected level and beyond. I learned how to efficiently organize and divide tasks within a team and how to motivate others to remain productive and achieve our goals.

As a sales associate at Champs Sports, my job consists of giving quality customer service by providing strong product knowledge in an enthusiastic manner. My focus is on the customer's experience and also on the presentation of the store. Maintaining visual standards is an important responsibility of all sales associates because it directly translates to the outcome of each customer's shopping experience. The most important objective of my job is to leave a positive impression with every customer so that they may leave our store satisfied. Champs Sports has challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. It has taught me how to build strong relationships with customers and how to handle different situations by effectively communicating. I have learned how to challenge myself each and every day. The friendly competition environment that I have found in the different stores in which I have worked for has been like no other.

This position required the planning and shooting of video of various events held by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) at the University of Florida. Other tasks also included editing the videos together, uploading them, and managing the SHPE YouTube page. The videos served as a way to showcase what the organization has to offer by sharing the videos through social media. The position entailed working closely with a team to accomplish set goals. Strong communication skills were applied and further developed to ensure efficiency and good quality work.

During my time as a Lead Sales Associate at Pier 1 Imports, I was in charge of leading the staff towards achieving daily sales goals. I lead by example each day by setting the standard of work quality for the rest of the team to follow. This required strategic sales planning, creative problem solving, and strong teamwork. Some of the most valuable skills that I obtained were how to quickly find creative ways to get around various obstacles and how to build strong trustworthy relationships with customers. I came into the position with prior experience in sales leadership, but I did learn more in depth about being a leader through this experience.

I worked in the Math Lab at the College of Central Florida. Based out of a computer lab at the center of the mathematics building, the Math Lab serves as a tutoring hub for students taking any mathematics course at the college. Students sit at a computer and work on their lessons and homework assignments independently and are helped as needed. Whenever a student needs help they simply get the attention of one of the tutors and they get the help they need. I tutored Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, Liberal Arts Mathematics, Calculus I and Calculus II. This has been one of my favorite jobs for various reasons. I got to help and interact with people all day. Over the course of the three semesters that I tutored I formed some strong friendships which still stand today. The constant repetition of foundational mathematical concepts has helped me in my studies on the University level and I also gained some valuable skills in communication and patience.
