As the Aspen Senior Program Manager, I provide schools with expert knowledge and training on the District’s Student Information System (SIS) Aspen. Manage and evaluate a team of trainers, evaluate and maintain a yearly cycle of training needs, develop curriculum and content into innovative training that is both virtual, self-paced, and in person. Direct focus groups related to Aspen use, support the DevOps team in testing and collaborate with DCPS leadership to ensure the mission is reflected in the use of the SIS. Serve as an expert in the adoptions, development, and implementation of processes that lead to efficiency in the workflows of our IT team's use of Aspen.

Engagement of each client at their point of need: from individuals struggling with technology devices and platforms to those wanting to enrich their use and presence with web-based and online solutions. Create trainings and deliverables for clients to use as a reference to help them master their engagement and learning needs on an individual basis or as an organization.

Delivered lectures on Art History and Appreciation topics, ensured the efficiency and efficacy of online lectures, facilitated online discussions and exams, and leveraged numerous online learning tools.  Deliver numerous learning integration solutions that equip adult learners with the key tools needed to be successful learners in the online learning environment.  Leverage a host of tools and methodologies to boost learning efficacy, including audio, visual, and digital tools.

Spearhead the development and implementation of learning, instructional design, and technology education strategies that collectively support DCPS in serving its students and faculty. Liaise between business partners and stakeholders to develop mission-focused training and learning content.  Initiated and direct a department team teach back between trainers and the Help Desk, thereby ensuring key alignment of strategic deliverables and enabling critical enhancements and modifications. Provide subject matter expertise to DevOps team to support the testing and validation of new Aspen SIS features.  Independently created 15+ original content deliverables and 30+ instructional videos during tenure thus far.  Currently developing a dynamic training that will reflect the ever-changing system’s policy on attendance and how it affects student grades and success.

Created and facilitated engaging and effective learning experiences in live and recorded formats for use by any internal or external audience. Collaborated across departments and with subject matter experts and the company’s Director of Learning and Development to design, develop, integrate, and evaluate role and task-based microlearning solutions.  Built relationships with the Help Desk to align customer service, training, and technical priorities.

Recruited to support the school’s PreK-12 academic program and play an active and integral role in setting broad educational and information technology strategies. Directly collaborated with students, teachers, division heads, and school leadership to define and deliver innovative technologies and supportive educational tools.  Designed supportive content to enhance the school’s knowledge base while concurrently coordinating front and back end integration efforts of a new LMS and a Similarity Report software.

Executed lectures on Art History and Appreciation topics, developed and delivered lesson plans and examinations, and administered research projects for 50+ students each semester.  Ensured the efficiency of online and traditional classroom lectures, presided over discussion forums, and leveraged the Desire2Learn Learning Management System to interact with students and other key work.

Directed the adoption and integration of 21st century educational tools that improved learning quality and efficacy. Facilitated courses on the use of technology software and other innovative digital media tools.  Developed learning and technology training policies, programs, schedules, and best practices.  Facilitated instruction of the use of Aspen SIS, Office 365, FinalSite, Google applications, and other tools.

Instructed classes regarding the use of Adobe Creative Suite 6 software, Premiere Pro, iMovie, Final Cut, and Adobe After Effects. Assumed full responsibility in directing the yearbook and instructed the proper utilization of the online platform. Effectively served as the advisor and collaborator of the eNewspaper for the school.

Delivered focused instructions on various types of technology tools, including video applications. Created engaging lesson plans, prepared materials, and facilitated in-person and distance learning training.  Conceptualized, created, and delivered professional development workshops for teachers to support the effective integration of new technologies in classroom settings. Utilized Aspen SIS, SharePoint, and a host of LMS platforms to manage student records and learning information.  Served as the department’s primary public relations contact and distributed education initiatives to stakeholders in numerous different formats, including video, digital presentations, web platforms, oral presentations, and more.
