It has set up India's first Solar powered Smart Microgrid in the Rajasthan hamlet of Khareda, Lakshmipura in March 2012, and in the next 2 years has expanded to a total of 49 kW capacity in 19 hamlets of Rajasthan and UP, catering to around 600 households. Community Owned Self Sustainable ModelDeveloped and executed a model aiming at promoting community ownership of the solar plants installed in the remote sites. Monthly Rental PlansThe contemporary system was working on USE AS YOU PAY scheme, with no minimum monthly rental. Villagers engage in theft and as a result their balance does not get consume and therefore they do not recharge.We implemented minimum monthly rental plan which was aimed at reducing the financial loss to company from theft and reducing the incentive for stealing of power.D. Consumption Up-gradation SchemesRolled-out schemes for up-gradation of consumption from 2 CFLs and 1 mobile charge to Fan and Television also aimed at providing more facilities to those villagers who are willing to afford it.

Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu is conceived by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh to convert large no. of non-literate, school drop out, unskilled and unemployed youth into productive workforce by building their skills through vocational education thereby promoting inclusive growth.
