Pierre Paret has over three decades of experience in government relations, political issues, and legislative affairs, having served in positions in a federal agency, as a state-level political appointee, in a private lobbying firm, and currently for a not-for-profit organization. He has developed and helped secure statutory language in a number of federal laws, including the Higher Education Act, CLIA, and the Federal Arbitration Act, and also helped obtain over $100 million in Congressional authorizations and appropriations.He has expertise and a demonstrated track record in developing and implementing legislative and political strategies, and has specific experience in intergovernmental relations, government-private joint initiatives, federal appropriations and authorization, and emergency preparedness. He has significant media experience, with numerous appearances on television news and political programs, both domestic and international, as an expert on federal government and political issues. Previously, he served as a spokesperson and media coordinator for the Washington, D.C. office of a presidential campaign. He has also authored a number of published articles on lobbying and government affairs issues.
