Launched Cognosos in 2015 along with two other co-founders to develop a wireless technology that is suitable for IOT applications. The innovation was on 2-fronts. One technical, the other business model.The key technology innovation was the use of software-defined radio (SDR) and cloud-based signal processing to dramatically lower the cost and power required for wireless sensor transmitters. The result, RadioCloud, was created with the belief that businesses of all sizes should be able to use ubiquitous, low-cost wireless technology to harness the power of the Internet of Things (IoT).The business model innovation was to offer a hardware-enabled sensor platform on a SaaS model, called 'Sensing-as-a-Service'. This resonated well with companies still on sidelines with regards to huge upfront investment for typical IoT projects.Since then, Cognosos has had success in multiple verticals, including automotive, manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare.Besides the usual responsibility of a startup founder such as creating the business plan, attracting initial funding, team building, etc., also responsible for architecting and implementing the core application platform, inventing an ML based, patent pending indoor location technology, and directly managing the Software, Firmware, and QA engineers, Product Managers, and Field Services team.

Turned around Air2Web India business unit from a verge of collapsing to a highly profitable business.• Restructured the organization and put in place top management team consisting of a VP of Sales, VP of Operations, and a Controller to stabilize the operations and put Air2Web India on a fast track. • Grew the top line by over a 120% in 2008. • Turned the business into a highly profitable one with Gross Margin of 65% and Net Margin of 23%. • Diversified the product line by introducing some of the Air2Web USA products, as well as enhancing the existing products to support richer, more value added functionality, thus differentiating the offering from a pure commodity play. • Negotiated preferable terms with key suppliers to fundamentally change the business dynamics, thus resulting in a huge increase in the gross margin. • Started a new R&D initiative in Pune, India to introduce products on newer platforms such as iPhone and Android.

Founding member of Synchrologic, Inc., the creator of market leading data synchronization product, Mobile Data Suite. Mobile Data Suite consists of Email and PIM Synchronization, Device Management, and Enterprise Application Synchronization. My accomplishments include: • Employee number 4 of this successful startup that got acquired by IntelliSync which later got acquired by Nokia. • Inventor and lead architect of Mobile Data Suite’s core synchronization platform, Data Sync. Data Sync, built on the Microsoft software development stack in C++, was the first bi-directional data synchronization platform that provides a “data centric” approach to updating databases on computer systems of an intermittently connected database system. In this approach, the storage and processing complexity of the database server are de-coupled from the number of clients to be supported, thereby, improving the scalability of the server. Instead of focusing on the data required by individual clients, this method tracks changes to data subsets pertaining to groups of clients. • Created an advanced rules based engine for flexible configuration of data set in a diverse environment.
