• Provides capital and leadership to maintain, expand, expand, upgrade, and modernize America's vast rural electric infrastructure within the Assistant Administrator-Electric Program, Rural Utilities Services, and Rural Development.• Provides necessary engineering expertise to conduct independent reviews, consultations, and analyses for electric system design, construction standards, and policies that impact all aspects of rural electric systems.• Provides planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance of electric utility systems.• Manages, evaluates, and provides recommendations on borrower financing assistance requests for loans, lien accommodations, and related arrangements to improve electric service and expand capacity.• Researches, interprets, and provides guidance on Agency regulations and procedures pertaining to engineering design, construction, operation and maintenance, material and equipment selection/procurement, environmental protection provisions, etc.• Maintains engineering competency through ongoing and continuing education and serves as a member of the Electric Program Technical Standards Committee.• Perform O&M engineering involving design, planning, implementation, analysis, repair, maintenance, and upgrade of the Electrical Power System of the Air Force and other DOD (Department of Defense) military installations utilizing a professional knowledge of electrical engineering. As an electrical engineering consultant planned, protected, coordinated, acquired, executed, and maintained of Electrical Power System to meet the needs of the activity, Energy Management, utilities billing & and engineering, supporting Military facilities aspects of O&M projects in accordance with DOD instruction.

Apply AF Civil Engineer tools such as, RSMeans, BLCC, SMS, GIS, BIM, and CAD for representation and analysis of field data and use for project development and design.* Provide direction, interpretation, and adaptation on applicable guidelines (i.e. AFIs, UFC) for project implementation. • As an Electronics Engineer support short/long range RF communication systems supporting the United States Air Force Cyberspace and tactical Space Electronic Warfare system. Responsibilities include oversight of RF communication systems in development for the Air Force Weapon systems and Drones. Also oversee vendor design, analysis, and test activities including the interface between systems and the Air Force space network, to ensure proper transmission of the data.• Supports RF systems tactical Space Electronic Warfare system hardware development programs, including review of specifications, interface control documents, drawings, schematics, and integration test procedures to determine compatibility with Program requirements.
