At the age of 16 joined our family business ( LOVSON Exports ), worked my way up from the bottom of the rung on merits, this gave me practical experience while in College , as well as an edge to make my transition into the real world smoother by the time I completed my Graduation in Commerce. While operating under guidance my late father Shri Bharat G. Shah and his team I had a 360 Degree exposure of Export and Import Business , Bidding and winning World Bank financed International tenders, Vendor selection, Trade Negotiations, and General Management. Set up our Groups first overseas venture in Tanzania in 1993, which was initially a trading venture involved in importing of various products from India and China and export of Wood logs and Steel scrap from Tanzania, later on set up a Potato Chips Making plant. Moved to London UK in 1999 to set up an IT Outsourcing company which was closed in 2002.Back to India since than, have been involved in project of reverse engineering, custom development from drawings of castings, forging, machined components, won Indo-US Science and Technology grant for development of Solectrac™ - electric tractor with my US Partner - Currently involved in design and development of New Product ranges -Retech® - Geo Solutions -TYROS® - Prestressing Systems – Ekanga® - Aluminium Foil Containers - Setting up new production facilities for e-Rickshaw project ( under development)Creating a land bank for a MSME Industrial Estate project.( work In Progress) Enjoyed my journey so far, which is filled with successes and failures too, always learnt from it but never regretted decisions taken so far - Of late, have started appreciating what mother earth does for humanity and this year planted around 300 trees as my small tribute to her, will continue to explore more ways to do my bit in this area.
