Managing the Immigration Department while maintaining client caseload and expanding legal services pursuant to grant deliverables. Full representation of low income clients in family-based and humanitarian immigration petitions including waivers, U visas, VAWA, naturalization, consular processing and adjustments of status. Conduct outreach and group processing. Maintain grant deliverables. Train and supervise legal staff. Implement legal best practice.As General Counsel, provide advice to the Board of Directors, President & COO on obligations as a tax-exempt charitable organization and California not-for-profit corporation. Provide advice on legal issues to all levels of management and staff of the organization and applicable subsidiaries, including legal aspects of activities within their assigned areas such as grant funding and human resources.
