I am currently a third year student working on a degree in Biology with a minor in Medical Anthropology from UCI. I have 4 years of experience as a volunteer at the Kaiser Permanente Emergency Department where patients come for a variety of treatments.I was drawn to this field because of the need to make decisions on the fly and the high intensity environments of the emergency room. Building upon my work as a volunteer and my interest in emergency medicine, this past year I started work as a research intern at a hospital in Orange County where I work with emergency room physicians on a project on the pain profiles of young pediatric patients. What motivates me professionally is being able to contribute to the community needs in a medical setting to better health and well-being and I would love to translate my experience for precise patient care at your organization.I am currently seeking for medical related internships or volunteer opportunities to allow me to expand my knowledge as a premed student.
