I am now working in business development in the young research company Lidqo based in Barcelona, Spain. Its purpose is to generate added value for the pharmaceutical industry and the society in general, through the research and development of new processes in order to produce APIs of medicines. My main tasks are making market studies, contacting possible clients, leading both technical and pricing negotiations and dealing with the sourcing. As Lidqo is a little company, the mission is absolutely not repetitive, and is really a part of a whole. Thus I am learning a lot in this multidisciplinary position.

Public research internship in UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona), Spain. In the materials department of the university, the project was to produce alloys in order to absorbhydrogen, to fit the Steam reforming process. The task entailed melting homogeneous ZrMn2-typed alloys, understanding the structure and phases, and measuring how much hydrogen they can absorb and desorb.

Diploma thesis in Henkel Iberica in Montornes del Valles, Spain. With detergent specialists, we developed a new bleaching formulation with higher viscosity, using recent patents and withmany industrial requirements, keeping it compatible with the new plastic polymer that we had to work on. I learnt a lot from the professionals, on a research project where I acted autonomously, surrounded by Spanish speakers.

Internship in The Dow Chemical Company in Rheinmünster, Germany. In the Epoxy Resins Research and Development department, I was involved with a senior engineer in the development of formulations for industrial composite applications, such as materials to build blades for wind turbines for environmental applications. I also greatly improved my English being surrounded by excellent English speakers.
