About Paritosh Ramanan

I specialize in developing decentralized and distributed frameworks geared towards scalable decision making for large scale industrial applications. My research spans areas such as Distributed Computing, Decentralized Optimization, Federated Learning and Differential Privacy. During my PhD I developed asynchronous, privacy preserving, decentralized solution frameworks for sensor driven decision making for large scale, mixed integer power system problems. I led efforts to develop blockchain driven methodologies and frameworks with applications towards cyber threat detection in power systems. My research has also looked at aggregator free, decentralized approaches to Federated Learning through the effective use of the blockchain paradigm.
