For as long as I can remember, I’ve always found numbers tell a deeper story. It’s an uncommon opinion, and one that usually draws eye rolls. As a Senior finance & accounting double major at the Farmer School of Business, I continue to take interest in numbers, using them to make informed decisions. During my consulting style experience with the FC Cincinnati client challenge, I combed through client data using python and SQL to drive decisions throughout the project. My strong work ethic and time management skills have guided me to earning placement on Miami’s president’s list twice and dean’s list 4 times in 6 semesters.During my free time, I can be found at the ice rink and on the golf course. During the colder parts of the year, I officiate youth, college club, and junior hockey. Officiating has taught me crucial communications skills and how to de-escalate intense situations. In the warmer seasons, I frequent golf courses where I both worked and play. Working at Meridian Golf Club, a private membership club, gave me first-hand experience with the importance of developing personal relationships and brightening people’s days. I stay involved on campus as a leader in the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and member of the Personal Finance Club. As a former recruitment chairman for my chapter of Kappa Sigma, I marketed the benefits of our fraternity to potential new members, resulting in adding over 40 brothers. This includes the largest pledge class in my chapter’s history, totaling 33 pledges. I’m also a member of the MU Personal Finance Club. At club meetings, I learn and discuss strategies to be financially prepared on an array of topics from investing to insurance.
