Design Engineer/Project Manager
As a Design Engineer for a Multidisplinary Fabrication company I have worked on a large variety of different projects. This ranges from one off products to museum exhbits to 10ft long shoes. One of my Primary roles is to do all CAD Modeling using AutoCAD, Solidworks and other 3D modeling software. I then take these models and create technical drawings for the fabrication team. These drawings are for metal shop, wood shop, CNC machining, and other manufacturing processes. The second major part of my role is Project Management. This entails meeting timelines, supplying work orders, creating BOMs, Material Procurement including from third party fabricators. After this I am in charge of ensuring all products pass quality control, get delivered on time and installed correctly. Managing and directing the crew on large installs for companies such as the Gates Foundation, Washington State Fair and more. Plus every so often getting my hands dirty with the fabrication team.
Contractor - Product Developer
Create TechPacks, BOM, and Mock-ups for new projects. Specifying all Materials, Trims and Components. Create Technical line drawings (product specs) for all products and projects.Review all samples for material, fit, color, and all other product attributes.Help create new TechPack format, create overview/structure for BOM requirements.Direct communication with the cross-functional customer and in-house teams.Update process flow for sample intake and review; Organize product archives and storage.Working on a small team and having hands on all aspects of the Product Lifecycle.

Restructure and Re-organize the process of physical sample flow. Complete overhaul of previous organization structure to intake, sort, and manage all PD samples. Work with the Industrial engineering team to create VBOM and Techapacks from Solidworks. Communicate daily with factories and factory sourcing teams. Internal cross-functional team communication.CMF review and approval; Check Dimensions, Color, and all physical attributes of samples. Complete the entire Development process to have samples in hand. Work daily with Agile PLM.

Direct Ownership of Companies: Linelist, Techpacks, Product Performance reporting, Consumer insights, and Data Management. Integrate all information in ERP systems.Maintain an in-house color library and send out standards to LO/Vendors. Monitor all samples.Request/Review lab dips, trim, and print submits with internal team members. Maintain Product and Sales reports; including product material and quality testing.Wear a variety of hats in the company. This includes managing social media, modeling as needed, and overall being a team player. Communicate internally and externally with factories.
