From Grand Ledge, to Marshall, to Bay City, to Frankenmuth, I’ve lived all around Michigan. This has allowed me to gain a perspective with all types of diversity, both with people and culture, that has truly changed my outlook on communication, problem-solving, leadership, understanding, responsibility, and more. Having these skills has allowed me to achieve multiple jobs and shadowing positions, these include: serving, hosting, baseball broadcasting, producing, and to what I currently do which is hockey broadcasting/producing.I studied four years at Frankenmuth High School. Here, I was an active member on student council, peer to peer, debate and forensics, marching band, and was the captain of a teacher ran club. I unfortunately had no opportunities at my high school with my passion of broadcasting, so from there I traveled to Michigan State University over the summer of senior year to shadow two members of the Spartan Media Network team. There I learned the values, dedication, and skills needed to be a successful employee in the workplace. I’m a currently working on my Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts major and Sports Management minor at Central Michigan University to graduate with a Bachelor of the Arts degree. I have been granted the opportunity to broadcast and produce for women’s and men’s hockey here at Central. I also took up an opportunity to floor and technical direct, with some appearances on air for the studio show called Inside Chippewa Hockey to gain some extra experience in the field. I hope to one day pursue a position in Broadcasting for a minor or major league sports team to start my career on the right foot right out of college.
