Fieldwork involved working with a team of Indian engineers to collect data prior to computer analysis in order to study the performance of drainage systems during the monsoon season. The study evaluated aspects of engineering design and maintenance procedures, and involved work alongside social scientists to assess health implications of flooded sanitation systems and perceptions of the risks from flooding from slum communities living in affected areas.
