Eduardo Parra is the co-founder and CEO of Parra & Co, a family-owned civil engineering firm headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. With 25 years of experience, he has managed and designed projects for municipal governments and private developers in the US and abroad, overseeing large multi-year programs exceeding $300 million. Eduardo has served as the engineer-of-record and engineer-in-charge for various civil and coastal engineering projects, including stormwater, drainage, flood control, transit, roadway, water, and wastewater utility projects. His expertise extends to disaster recovery, preparedness efforts, energy efficiency, and sustainability projects. Additionally, he has served as an expert witness for Hurricane Katrina recovery and performed damage reports and recovery work after Hurricanes Katrina and Alex in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi.Mr. Parra is actively involved with regional and national professional societies and associations. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Antonio Water System, the Executive Board of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of OPERA San Antonio, and a Board Advisor to the Brackenridge Park Conservancy. Eduardo serves as a Corresponding Member of the Committee on Sustainability for the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is a Fellow of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and an alumnus of Leadership San Antonio Class XXXIX. Eduardo has also been a steering committee member for Leadership San Antonio Class XLIII, a former board member of both the U.S. Green Building Council in Central Texas, and the World Affairs Council of San Antonio. He previously chaired the Energy & Sustainability Committee of the Greater Chamber of Commerce in San Antonio. Eduardo was honored as San Antonio Business Journal’s 2016 "40 under 40" and 2022 "C-Suite Award" winner, and is the Honorary Commander of the Inter-American Air Force Academy (IAAFA) 37th Training Wing at Lackland Air Force Base.
