Crown Milk Specialties Pvt. Ltd. is a leading company which manufactures dairy products like desi ghee, milk powder etc. The company had set up a plant of casein and butter of which I was responsible for the entire purchase.

From September 2010- June 2011, I worked as Manager Purchase at Metlonics Industries Pvt. Ltd. Mohali, an industry which manufactures automobile parts and supplies to M/s Mahindra & Mahindra Tractor Ltd. (Formerly known as Punjab Tractors Ltd) and M/s Swaraj Mazda Ltd.

JCBL Ltd. is a leading bus body manufacturing company with a turnover of Rs.250 Crores with main business area being manufacturing of bus bodies along with sheet metal components.The company has three manufacturing plants situated in Lalru (Punjab).

In Aug. 2004, I was called back from Baroda to restart the plant that had been shut down earlier. I was made in charge of purchase department directly reported to GM (Commercial).Total maintenance of the plant was done at satisfactory level in record time which included the hot and cold insulation, ducting, rubber lining of tanks, cleaning of ETP tanks, repair of cooling tower, overhauling of D.G set and compressors, also civil jobs, proper maintenance of conveyor and various types of machines.

I was independently looking after the maintenance spare of the plant, gases and fuel, mechanical and electrical items. I was actively involved in various cost reduction activities and was directly reporting to General Manager (Commercial).

As I had joined the company at the project stage, hence I was actively involved in making all Purchase Procedure, purchasing of all type of material required in Project stage and also manufacturing of Finished Product. I was also reporting to our corporate office at New Delhi for matters related Plant and Machinery. Also I devised a system for monitoring of various indents with respect to the procurement and delivery schedule. Since I laid stress on creating a stiff competition among different vendors, it resulted in considerable savings. I had been reporting to GM (Commercial) directly.
