Rewrote product logging capabilities to incorporate a custom Kafka implementation and a PostgreSQL database. Maxxum Inc is an IT company focused on assisting customers with the end of life disposal of their IT equipment. Within Maxxum, I assisted with information security, inventory control, troubleshooting equipment, shipping, and sales preparation. It was my personal goal to make sure the clients information was secure and Maxxum retained as much value in the end of life equipment as possible.

At Menards, I assisted guests with designing kitchen and bathrooms from the various lines of special order cabinetry. As the department manager my responsibilities also included guest issue resolution, communicating with vendors and distribution centers, time and employee management, scheduling, training staff and visual merchandising.

Within Vanpro I funneled the flow of information from the customers to production floor. As a project manager I also made sure that: jobs were setup correctly and to the current revision, material was ordered to the correct specification, verified tooling and supplies were on hand, coordinated with multiple departments for timely material processing, communicate with outside vendors and made sure parts got out the door on time.Another major responsibility was tracking the costs for jobs and making sure that Vanpro continued to stay profitable while keeping customers satisfied. I generated quotes to meet customer requests, prepared for audits, developed procedures for various situations in the shop that needed to be addressed, visited and audited vendors, and coordinated shipping with multiple package carriers.

Responsibilities included all phases of employee management: hiring, scheduling, payroll, and staffdevelopment. I provided an empowering environment for my staff to ensure their personal and professional success. Conflict resolution, troubleshooting and exceeding customer expectations were all daily items that I and practiced and trained my team members on.

Opened and ran a concept “GameStop Kids” for the 2012 holiday season. Directed associates in providing excellent customer service within a fun atmosphere. Duties included store setup, payroll management, customer issue resolution, communicating with the district manager and corporate office concerning store expectations, daily store operations and handling the store closure at the completion of the holiday season. Following the store closure I was moved to third key holder for a traditional GameStop store until receiving my own store in Minnesota.

Working for Lens Crafters, I crafted glasses for customer orders. I learned the various processes, tools and techniques needed to correctly make high quality lenses for eyewear.On the retail floor, I informed customers of product benefits and got them into the correct eyewear for their lifestyle.

As a Sales Associate in the Cabinet and Appliance department I assisted customers in designing their dream kitchen. Duties included customer service, kitchen design using 3D CAD programs, and appliance sales. I also helped customers find ways of solving home repair/remodeling problems on a daily basis.

Responsibilities were focused on troubleshooting customers dial up and DSL connections for multiple ISPs while keeping security in mind. Each ISP had different configurations that would need to be setup, verified or reset. Email troubleshooting, basic computer problem fixes, talking customers through software updates and escalating tickets for higher level trouble shooting were all part of the daily routine.

Worked up the corporate ladder from entry level Game Advisor to Store Manager. As a store manager, my duties included upholding excellent customer service standards, daily store operations, and keeping store losses to a minimum while supervising up to twelve employees.

Managed a sunglass kiosk for the Luxottica Group. Responsibilities included overseeing day to day operations, building and training a tightly knit sales team, and staying on top of fashion trends.
