My graduate assistantship position with the international education department at the University of Nebraska at Kearney(UNK) has given me a great amount of experience in student services and ambassador program. As a liaison for First-Year Program at UNK, I brought international students and domestic student together for many cross-cultural events. Throughout the course of my collegiate career, I have demonstrated both academic success and leadership skills. I have completed my degree in Natural and Social Sciences as an International student from Canada/India.I am pursuing a Master of Science Education in Student Affairs at UNK. I have organized and volunteered five years to help with the orientation of new international students, including marketing, advertising, and planning duties associated with new international student orientation. I have leadership experience as a president of Kearney Rotary on the Bricks Club and International Student Association at UNK. I learned to work with people from diverse backgrounds, communicate, plan and connect various community groups together. Additionally, I read and write Hindi and Gujarati, write in Sanskrit, and speak conversational Nepalese, Japanese and Korean which I acquired from diverse conversation tables held at UNK. When I am not active on campus, I enjoy motorcycle riding, hiking, basketball, soccer and occasionally watching sports with friends.
