Design Engineer
Current- Completed Electrical/Controls Engineering deliverables for Water and Wastewater projects valued up to $5M- Collaborating with stakeholders to track deliverables and plan further activities accordingly.- Utilized AutoCAD, ETAP and other additional software to strategically design PLC, Relay, Gas Monitoring, HVAC and VFD panel and perform necessary calculations to ensure alignment with the CSA standards.- Prepared electrical/controls deliverables, including but not limited to; Power system modeling, design and calculations (load calculations, voltage drop, grounding, lighting, equipment sizing), Electrical design (single line diagrams, electrical layout, BOM, network diagram, communication panels), engineering list (load list, equipment list, I/O lists, material take-offs) procurement packages (equipment specification, technical bid evaluations, vendor data review) to identify the scope for Water and Wastewater projects.- Analyze and understand tender documents and Client/Region Standards to determine the project scope.- Investigated project site to access existing conditions to ensure accuracy of electrical drawings and other additional information provided by the clients.- Performed Factory acceptance test (FAT) and Site acceptance test (SAT) for electrical and instrumentation equipment’s.- Perform modifications based on the inspection of testing and operation of electrical panel.- Evaluate and understand IFC drawings, tender documents, and Client/Region Standards to determine the project scope and deliverable.- Analyses design feasibility and performance of electrical panels and compiling information with proposal submission for projects up for bid.- Gained knowledge about the electrical design and their practical applications, regional codes/standards and consulting experience.
