I oversee the Operations and Maintenance of Self Baggage Drop (SBD) machines at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, specifically across Terminals 1 and 2. My role involves ensuring the smooth operation of these machines, contributing to efficient passenger processing and overall airport functionality.Key Responsibilities:- Operations Management: Monitor and ensure the optimal performance of SBD machines, addressing any issues swiftly to minimize downtime.- Comprehensive Maintenance: Conduct regular electrical, IT, and mechanical maintenance. Implement 5S, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Kaizen for continuous improvement. Calibrate machines to maintain accuracy.- Project Involvement: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new SBD units, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.- Inventory & Maintenance Tracking: Manage spare parts inventory, track maintenance plans, and use daily checklists to ensure machine reliability.- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and generate performance reports to support data-driven decision-making.In my role, I am committed to enhancing the efficiency and reliability of airport operations through proactive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
