At Syft Technologies I carried out a highly diversified role where I built and tested SIFT-MS instruments as per procedures, customised them for the end users, discussed/introduced SIFT-MS to worldwide customers and lab work developing solutions for them.Highlight: Effected the first sale (460k NZD) in Poland for Syft Technologies for hydrogen purity application.

Produced and studied nanoparticle stabilised emulsions. Primary objective was to learn how these systems behave under stress and quantify so that the systems can be reproduced. Microscopy and light scatter experiments were used to learn about the emulsions and to profile their deposition on to surfaces.Highlight: International peer reviewed publication in Journal of Colloid and Interface Science.

Taught Analytical Chemistry (separation science) and Instrumental Techniques, Research Methods, Information Technology for Chemistry and Organic Chemistry. In-addition I also coordinate examinations at all levels. Served as member of college academic board, examination board, academic board finance, library committee and had been a senior treasurer of the student association.

Had research experience on monitoring of ambient ozone, sulphurdioxide, and PM10 for the city of Colombo. This programme was funded by USAID. This experience provided me with industrial insights of science as I visited several industries to carry out environmental impact.
