I originally trained as an economist, with a strong quantitative orientation. I have over 25 years' cosmopolitan experience in research, consultancy & teaching. My passion for quantitative applications led me to develop strong data analysis & computation skills, and as a research consultant my projects have included such diverse topics as designing fault-detection algorithms for power plants, real-time monitoring of wholesale agricultural prices, and developing an index of market potential for Indian states & districts.In recent years, I have also developed my interest in geopolitics & international economic affairs, and am looking for more opportunities for collaborative research & consultancy in these areas.
