CurrentAs the Senior Manager of the Media Foundation team at Airbnb, I lead a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to building and enhancing the core media infrastructure that powers Airbnb’s global platform from ingestion of raw assets, to processing, storage & delivery of optimized media assets. Our focus is on creating scalable, reliable, and high-performance media solutions that support the diverse needs of our users and enhance their overall experience.In my role, I am responsible for:Strategic Leadership: Driving the vision and strategy for media technology at Airbnb, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader goals and objectives.Team Management: Leading a talented team of engineers and media specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.Project Oversight: Overseeing the development and deployment of cutting-edge media technologies, including video, audio, and image processing, ensuring high quality and performance.Cross-functional Collaboration: Partnering with various departments such as Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science to integrate media solutions seamlessly into the Airbnb ecosystem.Innovation and Improvement: Staying ahead of industry trends and incorporating the latest advancements in media technology to keep Airbnb at the forefront of digital experiences.With a strong background in technology and a passion for driving impactful change, I am dedicated to enhancing how people connect and share experiences on Airbnb.
