He sets clear expectations and justifies them with evidenced observations and with reference to his previous experience. He is clear about risks and impacts and applies his insight holistically across the infrastructures he supports, with sympathetic understanding of and allowance for the customer impact. Dennis is never flustered, always calm and his confidence in his skills & experience is unquestionable. He inspires and maintains the trust of his colleagues, the non-techies that depend on him and the customer. You can put him in front of anyone from technical hands on to an exec and know that he will demonstrate the same level of personal ownership and subject matter expertise. He knows his area inside, outside, back to front and his manner and approach put all concerns to rest.
