It started when I graduated from NIFT, New Delhi in 2004. I joined Freelook, the clothing brand by Polki Garments Pvt Ltd, as junior kidswear designer. When I left 2 years later, it was as a senior kidswear designer. I took a 5-day sabbatical before I started designing women's shirts for Surreal - Pall Mall Design Lab. This time, when I quit 2 years later, I was done with designing. I didn't know what I wanted to do, but was sure design wasn't it.It was during this hiatus that, purely by fate, a friend asked if I knew any freelance writers and I volunteered because I enjoyed it. A few weeks of writing, and I knew I had found my calling.Since then, I have worked with animal rescue (thank you, WildlifeSOS), designed logos (The Wordsmanship, KettleStone Luxury Villa), dabbled in web design (helped build websites in the Bahamas, coded WordPress templates), tried my hand at Photoshop illustrations, among other things. Of all those, writing is what I love most.I love the way the words come together to form something *I* created. I love the research (which allows me to indulge in my habit of link-surfing). I love organising all that information into a meaningful copy. I love the pressure of meeting a deadline. I especially love hitting send to deliver the completed project.I have been writing on and off for almost a decade now. During this time, I have written blog articles, web content, Press Releases, Product & Service Descriptions, Email Content, etc. I've covered topics like Insurance, Health and Home Remedies, Animation, Flower Delivery, Air Conditioners & Refrigerator Servicing, Pest Control, and many MANY others. I am good at developing concepts and ideation, have a good grasp of social media engagement, and of course, research. My biggest strength and weakness is my ability to extrapolate from very little information.
