Key responsibilities included:  Management Accounts: I was managing 2 European entities with respect to preparation of month end and year-end accounts as per US-GAAP and Irish GAAP. My responsibilities included activities like sales revenue reporting, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliation, inter-company accounts reconciliation, revenue reconciliation and posting month end journals. I also prepared the annual, quarterly and monthly CSO returns for the Irish entity.  Key Inputs & Process Improvements: I developed reports for variance analysis which helped track the root causes for deviation in margins, this file has now become the “go-to” file for Senior Management. I was responsible for creating budgets by analysing the requirements of different departments and their historical data. One of my monthly key tasks was to do budget analysis by comparing the budgeted and actual figures for the month and quarter for each department and in case of wide variations analyse the root-cause and present a recommendation to the management and Board. I was also on the team that helped in transition of ERP from Quickbooks to NetSuite for which I helped in setting up chart of accounts and cost centres.  Collections: Led and organized a collections drive, streamlined the process by developing and forming credit control practices. This resulted in cash collections of over $ 9 Million from 500 customers across Europe, United States, Hong Kong, India, and few other Asian countries in 4 months.

Key responsibilities included: Analysing financial statements to understand the credit stability of the customer. It included analysing the trend of the company and preparing projected statements for next 5 years. It also included analysing the debt-equity ratio, bank statements and revenue figures. Developing strategies for reducing the percent of Non-Performing Assets.  Interpreting the market conditions to understand which sector is performing better and comparing the results with banks’ performance. Collection of debt to reduce delinquencies.
