As a Cruise and Entertainment Director with Royal Caribbean International, Paul is responsible for managing the entertainment and 250+ guest activities that take place on board many of the world’s largest and most luxurious cruise ships. Paul is the primary liaison and principal spokesperson for over 3,500 weekly guests, ensuring they receive a vacation with More Than Perfect™ service and the experience of a lifetime. His duties include hosting shows and major activities for up to 1,500 guests at a time, along with producing and hosting onboard video interviews with various members of the ship’s staff and entertainment department. Paul manages a staff within his division of up to 125 people.In a role that requires continuous face-to-face interactions with guests for the duration of their vacation, his work is essential in guaranteeing seamless customer service. As part of this responsibility he works closely with division heads including the Guest Services Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Food & Beverage Director, Marketing & Revenue Manager, Human Resources Manager, Financial Controller and Training & Development Manager, all under the direction of the Hotel Director for smooth running of Total Guest Satisfaction (TGS).Paul manages revenues over one million dollars per week onboard the ship, while maintaining and controlling expenses within the Cruise Director’s department totaling over seven million dollars per year.
