M. Parvez Alam, Executive Director of Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (CIIC) and AIC - Crescent Innovation & Incubation Council (AIC-CIIC), is a well-recognized professional in entrepreneurship ecosystem and was instrumental in establishing one of the most progressive startup incubation center in Tamil Nādu. Currently advisor to many prestigious academic incubators in Tamil Nādu and been jury to many multinational corporate programs and government startups challenges. The goal of CIIC & AIC-CIIC is to encourage “deep tech” entrepreneurs in the verticals of Life Sciences, Industry 4.0, and Smart and Clean Mobility and facilitates entrepreneurial activities for all the stakeholders including the students, faculty, alumni, industry, investors, government, and society at large. CIIC is recognized and received a cumulative fund of $3.5M from 6 Union Ministries of India and Government of TN. CIIC startups raised fund of $27.7M from the Government & Private Investments. Around 1293 jobs were created from Crescent incubation ecosystem. CIIC Madurai Campus was initiated for supporting Start-ups and MSMEs in Tier 2 & 3 Cities in the deep south of Tamil Nadu, which will chiefly tap innovators/entrepreneurs emerging from the areas of AgriTech, MarineTech, nutraceuticals, and of course FoodTech.Alam has 17+ years of Cross-Functional industrial experience in Strategy, Marketing, Programme Management and Operations. During his corporate life he spearheaded Corporate Marketing in UCAL Group, a Tier 1 Manufacturer in Automotive, Aerospace and Defence domains with an annual turnover of $130 million with the facilities in India, USA and Europe.He is an engineering graduate from Anna University and has Masters in Management from Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai & Stuart School of Business, Chicago. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Business Administration from SP Jain School of Global Management, Australia.Alam is awarded with prestigious certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practioner), DASSM (Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master), PRINCE2 Foundation (Projects IN Controlled Environments), MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) and CSSBB (Certified Six Sigma Black Belt), Certified Chief Innovation Officer (CCIO) by Rocheston Accreditation Institute - New York,Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) by ATTP, USA. Presently he is serving as President of Project Management Institute, Chennai Chapter.
