Youth Counselor
Current•Support the implementation of youth program activities and ensure services are delivered on time.•Ensure full documentation and filing for youth programs in humanitarian settings.•Support the review for partners concept notes and work plans ensuring adolescents and youth integration, upon request.•Review and refine existing training modules on youth education, peer networking, and peer education including abusive/harmful traditional practices•Proactively engage with the youth to strengthen youth networks to actively lobby and advocate for participation in decision making regarding issues that affect them.•Support youth in planning and organizing appropriate youth and community events meant to make their voices heard by the power holders.•Prepare a training delivery plan and conduct awareness raising session•Work with supervisor in planning and implementing activities related to peer education, youth education, and PSS•Providing education to adolescents and youths including awareness sessions on reproductive health with a focus on peer education and healthy lifestyle•Refer adolescents and youth, who need PSS counseling•File reports for activities and accomplishments on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, or as otherwise assigned •Prepare and submit reports to the supervisor.•Identify, collect, and record success stories/ case studies and best-practiced activities for improvement of the programs on regular basis•Apply youth friendly approaches of awareness to provide a safe platform for adolescents and youth and referral of youth to other services as required.•Supporting AY groups to create their own youth led initiatives tackling issues of their concern within their communities.•Mobilize and outreach for youth groups, networks, and members. •Youth educators can be resource persons in their locations to answer questions of young people and provide needed support.•Work as a part of a collaborative team, providing support other staff.
